George Metcalfe is a Civil Practice and Family litigation attorney who has represented clients in Florida courts since 1988. He holds advanced graduate degrees in business, law and communication and has served as Senior counsel for the Florida Department of Children and Families in Miami. A native Floridian, he speaks Spanish and has represented adoptive parents, foster parents, birth parents, guardians, and state government in over 3,000 cases involving children and children's rights.
Mr. Metcalfe has served foster care planning boards in South Florida and has been a guest lecturer at University of Miami School of Law on children's legal issues. He has served as appellate counsel and is frequently consulted by other matrimonial and family lawyers. George Metcalfe is a member of the Florida Bar Association's Family Law Section, Lake County Bar Association, Volusia County Bar Association and other legal organizations, and has been a member of the American Bar Association, Dade County Bar Association and the Juvenile Justice Attorney's Association.
